Welcome to Drapers Mills Primary School

and Little Millers Nursery 

 

Welcome to Drapers Mills Primary School, one of the oldest primary schools in Margate, having been established in 1929 on the site of the Victorian Thanet Lodge for Little Boys, which in turn was part of Thanet College, after which nearby College Road is named.

 

 

The original building is incorporated in the expanding school complex. The school is named from the nearby Drapers Mill, a traditional Kentish smock mill that was once one of a pair milling together. The school and the mill are both on the Margate Heritage Walk.
