Class 5S - Class Teacher; Mrs Saran

 

 

Welcome to our class page. It is two weeks into the first term and 5S have got lots of exciting prospects in store.

We have been on a learning trip to Botany Bay and Northdown Nursery this week, had a taster workshop on Indian music and dance alonside our class based actvities.

This term we get to go swimming every Friday for 5 weeks. Lessons last for half an hour and there are swimming instructors as well as qualified staff on hand. Children will need a swimming kit which includes a towel, a costume and a pair of goggles if needed.

PE days this year are Mondays and Tuesdays. A PE kit is essential if you want to participate in lessons. This includes shorts and T-shirts (in house colours) for indoor PE and joggers with trainers for oudoors.

This term we are learning about Light and Shadows in Science and Rivers in Humanities.

Any adult help with research and homework will be appreciated. If the internet is used for research please ensure that information is used selectively and children do not bring in reams and reams of printed matter that they do not understand.

Homework is given every day and it is expected that children will do at least 20 minutes of reading daily.
